The company has just obtained the patents and a device placed on the head, would serve as intelligent monocle: the second version of Google Glass could be designed for a single eye.
Earlier this year Google stopped selling its Google Glass Explorer program through the park and the project seemed so smart glasses. However, the company seems determined to launch a gadget to have a screen near the eye … and continue working on it.
However, perhaps the next step in the Mountain View has little to do with glasses and question, rather, of a monocle.
Thus, the United States Patent and Trademark Office recently awarded a patent Google peculiar device intended for one eye.
This would be a band placed behind the head that go by the ear to take this second screen version of the Google Glass to one of our eyes, in the purest style monocle.
However, it is unknown whether Google will eventually give a second chance to their smart glasses through monocle and when this could become a reality. For now, they have the patent and it appears that Google glasses, as such, are a thing of the past.
